I will go check out the store while my daughter's at school!!

She just started new school. We were a week late because of our trip to Japan, but she seems to start making friends and having fun!!

Here are the lunches and snack for my lovely daughter <3

  1. Hi Keiko!

I am so glad you are back. I wrote on your blog while you were in Japan, but my comments were never published. I am always in awe at your lunches you make your sweet daughter. I hope you are doing well.

  2. How cute! I so want to make lunch like yours for my son who is 7. I am constantly looking for new lunch ideas. Hope you don't mind if I ask what's in the green container next to bear's head in the last 2nd picture? What about the roll that's at the very bottom picture with giraffe tooth pick (looks like ham with something)? Is it just ham covering heart shaped rice ball from the same picture? I so wish that I know how to make tamago for my son. It seems to need special technique to do it.

    1. you can buy those little containers in Daiso, Japanese dollar store. Maybe I can take photos some other time!
Ham roll is with cheese! Sometimes with cream cheese. This was with white soft cheese. I don't remembber what the name was.. I'll take picture of it too :)
There is a special pan to make the roll egg! It's not that hard if you get the pan!!!

    2. Thanks, Keiko!
Too bad we don't have Daiso here. We moved from Portland to Alabama last year. Miss Daiso in Vancouver, BC., where my in-laws live. I will try online stores. Soft/cream cheese with ham sounds yummy. That's great idea! Am sure my son will love it. Did you get anything from Anthro sale at store on Monday? I bought tons online, since I got free shipping for 195 and over of order. I love Tiny shirts, so bought three of Tiny shirts. Looking forward to more lunch ideas from you! :) Tomorrow is moon festival. Happy moon fest! I am Taiwanese, so will be having moon cakes. Will be sharing the red bean ones with my Japanese friend here.
